This is a great spot to get the bulk of all your landscaping needs. They are local and convenient and have the best prices in the area. They were also very friendly and the plants look beautiful. They have a wide assortment and mulch to chose from and will load it for you to haul, or deliver it to you. I would recommend this place for local people who have d.i.y. landscaping projects.w

West River Gardens was a *dream* to work with, especially for someone who had never had bulk materials delivered before. Dawn was especially lovely to deal with, as she answered all of my ten billion questions over email. I live out in Snug Harbor, and the road in front of my house is narrow and one-way. I'm lucky to have a decent sized driveway, but I was very worried they wouldn't be able to make the tight turn backing into said driveway, but I needn't have worried at all. They delivered five yards of mulch and two and a half yards of topsoil and leafgro mix with no issue at all and I'm definitely going to be using their services again. Quality of materials: The mulch is double shredded and I found only one overly large chunk in the massive pile I ordered. There was no plastic or metal bits in it at all. The topsoil and leafgro mix had a few pieces of what looked like wiring in it, but it was easily spotted and plucked out. The topsoil seems to be rather sandy in quality, which is a nice change from the clay soil in my own yard! I would recommend ordering extra leafgro though. Also be ready to mix it up yourself; one side of my pile was topsoil, the other side was leafgro, which I expected to happen so no big deal there. All in all, great company to work with, very friendly and helpful folks, and I don't know if maybe I'm overblowing the narrow road and driveway issue, but skilled drivers as well. Quality of materials is good and their prices are reasonable (170 for five yards of brown mulch and 120 for two and a half yards of topsoil and leafgro mix - this includes their delivery fee, which I believe is 25 out to Shady Side).
