The resort was great..very nice ambience and super cool breeze from the sea. The staff were very kind and understanding, the fact that they kept my kid engaged any time he came across them was humbling. The food was a La Carte menu and was excellent also served in good portions.Very soothing sunrise and sundowners One thing that was a let down is the fact that their wifi is very poor and can not be used in the cottages, you have to be near or in the restuarant for it to work..you may not really work using their wifi in the rooms.
I am going to be as objective as possible reviewing this property. Spent four nights at The One - Watamu. Now if you have been to a five star or seven star hotel this is not the right hotel for r you. The rooms are just okay. No TV but there is AC. Food is also an issue. They served us one piece of chicken wing for breakfast. Who dies that? There was no variety The place is not well kept. There is alot that has to be done in terms of ambience and food. The good thing about it is friendly staff. They have the world best friendly and caring staff.

Beautiful place just by the beach you've got to visit the one to experience malindi, they have so many rooms and the sea facing rooms are amazing. All the rooms are stand alone so No stairs this makes it great for families, people with disabilities and also the old.

Its a peacful place& serene.Has acess to a peaceful and clean beach with no beach boys just few fishermen.Their are beautiful designed pools overlooking the ocean. The landscape is well designed with lots of trees and flowers and nice walk ways, however they could be better taken care of. The cottages are very spacious and well furnished. The staff are friendly and give good service especially during low season when I visted. The food is well prepared, presented and delicious. Its a good holiday spot for some one who wants to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. Its long distance from the main tarmac but I guess a good getaway spot.
