We came to Rose's Luxury to celebrate a milestone birthday and the food was FANTASTIC, as was the service, even with some very over-the-top COVID precautions. The pictures tell a better story than I can relay, other than a few key points: - be sure to try the coconut ice cream and caviar - to die for! I think this is that ew\ flavor from Japan, Unami, and it was wonderful. - each dish was better than the next... wonderfully prepared and melt in your mouth flavor! - the pasta course was perhaps my favorite - melt in your mouth cream sauce with pasta cooked to perfection! - the salt and pepper catfish was perfectly cooed - light and crisp, with sourdough hush puppies that were the best I've ever tasted! - dessert was 3 courses in and of itself: some coconut lime ice cream over toasted/caramelized coconut, the baklava tower and cinnamon ice cream coated with graham cracker cinnamon crust - one more delightful than the other! The service was great - each dish was presented and described in details. (A note here on COVID: they checked your temp before you could enter the restaurant (two poor young gals had to stand outside all night, luckily very near a heater!); the tables were 6 feet apart or better; the staff would stop 6 feet from the table before approaching to wait for us to don our masks. None of this was intrusive - it's what is required today!) They really made you comfortable with the dish and how to eat and enjoy it best! My only two suggestions would be to offer bread, as an accompaniment and the wines by the glass were very pricey... 15, 20 or 25 a glass. I had the 15 red wine and it was, in my opinion, marginally okay. It got better as the dinner went on and it opened up - so why not aerate it before you serve it to me? (like any of us would do at home?) Otherwise a great dining experience!

This is my new favorite restaurant! Don't be scared away by the prix fixe menu right now. The menu is well balanced and it truly works. The vibe is great for dates as well. Rose's Luxury has unpretentious retro vibes suitable for almost any social get together!

The food was wonderful and the service was super nice, but competent too! The next time I'm in town, I 'd certainly visit. Rose's Luxury is still one of my favorite restaurants in DC after all these years and dining here feels like a comforting luxury every time. It's fresh produce, actually. Service was excellent and the position was well maintained to avoid covid spread with care taken. It's strongly advised.

Rose’s summer menu is absolutely delicious. Service is perfect. Parking easy across the street with ParkMobile app. Consider skipping wine and going for the divine summer drinks including something called a Banana Slushy. Don’t forget your mask. Temps taken on arrival. recommend
