Our third time in Val Thorens and we now make it a tradition to visit at least once Johns American. It’s a tiny place. Practically 34 seats, so reservation is a must and it’s not a place to spend a 3 hours dinner. The food selection is Mexican-American - which makes them unique in the typical offering of “French” food. The ribs (500gr) are fantastic. Something to tell friends about and come back. Hamburgers are good, nothing really special but will make you happy. Service is simple, super quick and friendly. Not like in many other restaurants in Val Thorens where you feel you are not really welcomed. Deserts are a weak side. It’s like they didn’t get the right solution. Well you can’t get everything.

One of the best places in Val Thorens. The food was delicious. The staff was super nice and friendly. The atmosphere was great. Definitely worth the visit.

The staff here are very helpful and a credit to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is quite small but the food is very nice. Typical American style.food, big portions, burgers, fries, ribs and wings. All very tasty. The all you can eat ribs and wings deal is not for the faint hearted! Attempt only on an empty stomach to make the most of it. It is a little pricey for what it is but great food all the same and worth it.

Booked a table at this restaurant and was seated right next to the door so whenever the door was open we were sat in the freezing cold and we had to start asking people to close the door, I ended up sat there with my coat on. I ordered the garlic bread as a starter and was shocked when I got three half slices of bread that you would buy in a supermarket. Our mains were greasy and we left half the food on our plates. My partner and I were not impressed by this restaurant which was a shame as we had been recommended by our rep to go there.
