You can't see the ocean from here anymore. The plants in the area completely block all hope of seeing anything other than hills. Also, it needs a restroom.

Cool spot to stop and stretch your legs, let the dog out. Walk up a ramp, see the view, learn a little about the history of the area. No restrooms or running water.
No real vista, mostly a parking lot to chill, no bathrooms at all and highway cops that like to speed trap hang out here! Only reason this 4 stars is cuz this my hometown. Can't diss that.

Really Californians can we vote in more rest areas on. Highway where it's actually okay to rest? This could* be a great spot to catch some rest before traveling iconic highway 1 in the morning light but can't sleep or pee here. Not a nice welcome to CA. Pretty common to have to be need of such areas here. Visit the East Coast, people can pee, poop, and sleep at highway rest areas. They provide safe rest stops. Necessary for safe travel. Happy driving
