What an awesome experience! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made it a great learning experience. She answered all our questions and taught us about sustainable fishing. We saw porpoises, seals, sea lions, and a pair of humpback whales. Thank you Wild Whales for an unforgettable trip!

Whale watching was so amazing that it literally took my breath away!! It was an incredible experience that I'll never forget and I highly recommend to locals and tourists. We went on the Zodiac - I loved the open, immersive experience, and the seats were very comfortable. It was super fun to ride the waves while getting out to sea. I was a bit worried about feeling seasick but I felt totally fine because the seats were so comfortable and the boat was open air. We saw two big groups of orcas and spent a long time watching them, as well as a group of humpbacks and some sea lions. We were out for the full 5 hours and experienced so many incredible sightings. The tour guide and captain were very professional, friendly, and informative. We went during COVID (August 2020) but felt safe as everyone wore masks, the middle seats were kept empty, and we were in the open boat. Lastly, even as a Vancouver resident, the views of the city and mountains from the boat are spectacular. This experience was SO worth it - the best day of the year for sure!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE experience. Took our breath away. The naturalist was so knowledgeable! We found out things about whales and sea life we never knew before as well as the specific families we were seeing that inhabit the bay. We saw so much wildlife. as a vegan its super important to me how others treat animals and this tour was ALL ABOUT THEM. Everything from how they approach the animals with the boat, turning off the engine, our noise levels etc was handled and mentioned as well as final details like the noise of the engine coming above deck as opposed to in the water. Absolutely incredible care. (that being said its not super noisy- average boat noise!) The boat ride is great even when the water is choppy- we had zero sea sickness. Eeveryone is well spaced out in open air vessel and no safety concerns with covid 19. WORTH EVERY PENNY- BOOK WITH WILD WHALES!

First comes the service part. Wild whales vancouver provided a good service with an excellent crew and zodiac. No problem there. Now comes the whale watching part: 1. Too many boats all around making it too stressful for the animals. As much as I oved experiencing it, seeing the number of boats made it a disturbing experience for how much we disturb a whales ecosystem to just have a glimpse of them. 2. Its not worth paying 160 bucks just for having a glimpse of the whales far from the ferry. Yes we saw orcas but just seeing them around 500 meters away with their backs and tails popping out once in a while does not make it an \ooh and Aah\ experience. Yes we saw orcas and that was it. Period. It was not a great experience. I would rather have utilized the ferry service and enjoyed as much of a whale viewing. Overrated service.

We had an amazing whale-watching trip with Kathryn as our naturalist and Bruce as our captain! Both were very professional, and Kathryn narrated throughout the trip, telling us about the area and the behaviour of the whales. It was very smoky, so visibility was limited to 1 mile, and we were the first trip out in the morning so I was worried it would take a while to find any whales. Kathryn & Bruce tapped into their network and we followed a report of a humpback (which we never found), but then we found a pod of orcas among the ocean-going freighters! We checked out some seals, and then came back to find the pod again, but couldn't...until we spotted them by Siwash Rock, and followed them all the way around Stanley Park, under the Lion's Gate Bridge and well into Vancouver Harbour, where they met up with another pod and treated us to their excitement! It was an amazing, unforgettable experience! Obviously, every trip is different, but I'd highly recommend this company, the zodiac experience, and Kathryn and Bruce! Definitely bringing future visitors back to do this!
