it's worthwhile visiting. the inner, middle and outer walks around the fortaleza give a good impression of the place. amazing what people were able to build so many centuries ago. what is the plan behind the layout? how many hidden rooms and passages are there to be discovered? by the way :the shop that sells nearly everything is run by a very friendly, attentive and helpful man. prices are not higher than at the weekly market

Very interesting historical place, the buildings are in very good condition and are still in use not only for tourists. Totally recommend it to visit.

Fantastic place. Many restaurants and shops inside, beatiful views, clean place. Even parking are outside and i side.

Impressive construction, medieval from the outside, many shops on the inside: Souvenirs, towels and bed linen, antiques, restaurants, hostels / hotel, a little museum... Great view over the river and Tui. You can also take a walk around the fortress outside / on its walls. Lovely!

ARE YOU INTO MEDIEVAL WALLS? This is great! It's kind of an ordeal to get into… but once you are inside it's full of charming stores, buildings and a historical atmosphere! The sights are AMAZING and it’s one of my top Portuguese destinations if I want to show my guests a piece of Portuguese history!
