Visiting Poland on long weekend as an intermediate climber (6c-7a), we decided to check out this place. The Fortress is an appropriate name as the holds seem like they have been in use since the 14th century. The holds are very poorly maintained. The mats are worn or torn and the building looks like it will crumble any second. Climbing was precarious as a lot of holds were loose and spinning, I would be fearful to try ropes at this place as I would not trust the anchor. There were no routes or grades on any of the boulders and the few route indicators on the walls were warn out or gone, nothing is colour coded but at least you can not accuse anyone of rainbowing. Chalk use was discouraged which with worn out holds made climbing difficult. The staff and people were nice, so if you are an absolute madlad and have no fear for your safety it's worth a visit just to see the absolute state.

Not the newest or the brightest place but well priced and big. It's all right.

Although the staff was really nice and friendly, I will most probably not visit again. Why? THE COMPLEX * Both, the gym and dressing room are dirty, the complex is smelly. * there's a shared dressing room for male and female visitors and the floors of the dressing room are dirty when its muddy outside, as everyone goes there with their shoes on * I did not see a place for showering, there might have been one but as the overall experience was sad and depressing I just wanted to leave the premises really quickly. GYM * the gym is dark * blocks are old and in bad condition - discoloured and worn-out. * there's no routes; there are some signs of some routes from apparently some competition a long time ago * most of the walls are in constant use for group workouts and therefore there is no place for individual climbers (talking about bouldering here) * No magnesium/chalk available for the visitors (but then again, the blocks are so covered with it that you probably do not need any extra) I must admit I find it hilarious that you go to have a workout in a gym and you hang out on a couch while being off the wall. But the laser pointers for coaches seem reasonable, as there's really no other way to possibly distinguish the blocks.

This gym is dirty and dark. It's not nice. The blocks are very old and in bad condition (discolored). Everyone was using all blocks, none was actually following a oute\. It was full of trainers who seemed lazy just pointing with laser the blocks for the student and sometimes they even hold a wooden stick to show which block to use (like a shepherd taking care of its herd). I decided to go again because sometimes maybe it's a bad day. Unfortunately, everything was the same and worse, because an instructor (not mine) told me to go climb on another wall because this wall is eserved\. I felt so bad as I had paid and didn't know what to do. If you want to see for yourself don't buy the offer for many visits. Just pay once and you'll know.

Massive gym. Well priced. Everything you would need to rent is there.

Ok for trying out climbing for the first time. They explained how to do the knots and climb in safety. Cheap and possibility to rent climbing shoes for 2 PLN. No windows, sometimes the air can become a bit saturated.

Decent climbing gym although the routes aren't well labeled.
