Boulderen is het nieuwe Klimmen! Sinds een aantal jaar is de bouldersport in Nederland bezig met een sterke opmars. Ook Utrecht moest eraan geloven. Om in deze behoefte te voor zien is op 7 september 2013 Boulderhal Sterk geopend. De boulderhal is open voor vrij boulderen, jeugdtraining en elke dinsdag en donderdag wordt er om 200 een instuifles gegeven voor wie extra tips&tricks wil. Boulderhal Sterk heeft ruim 500m2 boulderwand met 9 circuits. De 9 circuits hebben voor ieder niveau wat te boulderen, van makkelijk tot moeilijk. Naast de circuits zijn er ook uitgebreide trainingsfaciliteiten speciaal voor de boulderaars die écht Sterk willen worden. Er is onder andere een trainingswand, stokjesbord, campusbord en vingerborden.

Very friendly and fun place. There is also a store, where you can buy shoes or clothes and a bar where you can have a coffee, beer and snacks. Good music.

This is a really nice bouldering gym with a good variety of routes, easily bike-able from the center of the city. They have a cafe and beer on tap, and shoes for sale as well. One could also order food here.

Great place to boulder! Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good coffee and local beers. Routes changes often enough. Can be a little crowded at times, but people are very nice about it.

I like that they change the routes considerably often. However, when it's busy (usually Tuesday and Thursday evening) the holds become quite dirty and slippery. I do appreciate that they go around with their portable hoover though but I think they should clean the holds more often. The routes are often made for tall people and the style does not vary too much. You either have to be quite strong or like jumping. I wish they would be more creative when it comes to route setting. They could have more routes that are more balancy. Furthermore, they don't have a shower. The price is reasonable though!

I've been to this place with my friend (both our first time) on a Thursday at 7 pm. It's was a very nice experience. Inside there was a chilled atmosphere; the staff was friendly, as well as the visitors. I liked the bright environment and the open space. Although there were quite some visitors, there still were enough walls to climb. There is also a bar for drinks and tables to sit down. A great place and with reasonable fares.
