The staff is always so warm and inviting! I love the selection and I appreciate that the store cares about cleanliness during covid!

Needed materials for a winter break art project with the kids and was disappointed to find U Books shut. But no problem- ordered online and they got my order to me at the pickup window in 10 minutes flat. Great customer service.

Despite the fact that our original checkout experience was very enjoyable, the UW Bookstore is plagued by predatory buyback policies that prey upon unsuspecting students. We purchased a book that was “required” for a course for over 200 dollars new (used was not offered) and the book is not used by the course. The receipt we got from the bookstore said we had 30 days to deal with returns and that was it. Come to find within 30 days that that return policy does *not* apply to books, despite the fact that we purchased only books and that the receipt did not indicate any different policy or return criteria. We were then informed that you only have 14 days from the beginning of classes to return books (instead of 30?) in order to prevent students from returning books after they have gotten through most of a quarters and no longer need them. 16 extra days is not most of the quarter. This is absolutely predatory and obviously designed to prey upon unsuspecting students. It would have been nice to have been informed of this 14 day policy when we purchased the books. We will absolutely never shop at the university bookstore again and will be purchasing our next 3 and a half years worth of books elsewhere.

Randy, went out if his way to help me in personally walking me to the areas where I needed to go. He also had suggestions that were if great help. Without his assistance I most likely would have become frustrated and left. I got exactly what I wanted and paid what was in my budget. Thank you Randy !
