If you are looking for high-quality, individually-tailored tutoring, look no further! We have had great tutors (Liam and Oliver) in AP/honors STEM subjects for our high schooler. They are as knowledgeable as they are warm, supportive and professional. After each session, Tungsten sends a written report from the tutor that describes topics covered and progress. Sheena Martin, the Parent Outreach Coordinator and Business Manager is superb. She will take the time to truly listen to your child's unique needs and preferences -- and match your child with just the right tutor, and do so with amazing speed. Finally, Sarah Gonzales, the founder, is brilliant and empathetic. Can't say enough nice things about Tungsten Prep.

We had an excellent experience with Tungsten Prep! My daughter needed targeted help in preparing for her reading/writing portion of the SAT’s and Matthew, the tutor she was paired up with was simply outstanding. He was extremely engaged/communicative (with her and us as parents) and highly intelligent and knowledgeable about the SAT’s. Her score improved significantly within only 1 month of taking her last practice tests prior to starting sessions with Matthew and when she took the actual exam. While I recognize she was willing to put in the time to prepare for the test, I have no doubt that Matthew’s guidance, approach in how to handle each type of question and his support week after week had a profound impact on the fantastic results she earned. This is an incredibly stressful time for many kids and parents given the current remote learning challenges we are facing. Tungsten Prep was the very best investment we made in preparing our kid for the SAT’s. I would highly recommend their services without any reservation.
I appreciate how the tutor forms a relationship with my kiddo to know when they are being challenged enough, and when my kiddo is not challenging themselves. They really try their hardest to match kiddos with the right tutor for maximum benefit to the child’s academic success.
