Love it here and we went as two adults. Great for kids. The butterfly enclosure is great. No big animals but you can see that on the web site. Smaller zoos so much more personal. Love it here.

I had such an amazing time here. The staff are brilliant and the talks we watched were very informative. The tropical area was great...I really enjoyed having the butterflies flying around and feeding the koi. It was also really interesting to see the bananas growing. We ate at Cafe and the food was lovely I really enjoyed being able to brush and feed the goats. Can't wait to visit with my children

Had a fun day there ;) The butterfly sanctuary is truly MAGICAL. I even got to pet a kangaroo, a goat and a pig There are plenty of parking spaces, so that is not an issue. Staff members are polite and friendly, the area is quite clean. There is a hot-dog and ice cream stand, in case you didn't bring food with you, prices are quite reasonable. I enjoyed the experience!

Lovely place with a nice selection of well cared for animals. The butterfly sanctuary is stunning and amazing for kids, especially when they land on them. Good value and plenty to see and do.

We popped here on a saturday during half term. Busy in car park but once we got inside it was all fairly quiet. Really enjoyed the butterfly area. We spent some time exploring outside, although our little one also enjoyed playing on the diggers and playpark! It is a good little zoo, although at 12.95 per adult not overly cheap for entry. We had some lunch in the cafe and it was fine, prob going rate in terms of price etc. Bit of a pain that when you exit to cafe you then need to reentry through main entrance - but on grand scheme of things not a major issue.

It is such a shame this place is closing for good on the 5th, I would say the best place in Essex for children in buggies and animals. Not on a hill like other bigger zoos. Great soft play. Great petting area and nice and warm in the tropical greenhouse. I you read this have a few million quid not doing much and wish to keep it the same as it is that would be FANTASTIC! this will be a great loss to the educational diversity in Essex.

Nice place to take the little ones kids loved the meerkats we visit once a year and has really changed since the last time we went only reason 4 stars is there was no birds to view as they had issue with aviary flu. So should of discounted the price or gave a free tea and coffee

Such a lovely place! It's a small zoo, but we could spend ages in the Butterfly House alone. There are nice places to have a picnic and the cafe is enough for people who don't bring food in my opinion. The animals are well cared for and the staff are all lovely. Nice little playground for the kids to let off some steam in, while you sit and have a coffee or an ice cream too. We just love Tropical Wings!
