I have been to this chain before in Akabane so I was happy to find out that there was a branch in Ikebukuro. Soup, cabbage and I think rice refills are also free. The katsu is very nice! I had the Aoi ‘ladies set’ here which was so huge (and delicious) but I struggled to understand why it was for ladies when it was so large... well, I’m not complaining, I love food. This set also included little mochi for dessert.

Never get tired of this place. The rice is heaven sent. Love the yuzu dressing and ofc the tonkatsu is always tender moist and meaty. I love you so much wako.

We visited the Pokemon center and happened to be looking for dinner. Very happy to find this gem! We were pleasantly surprised by the good quality of tonkatsu here. Dinner for 2 was affordable at about 2500yen. Thumbs up!

Ok tonkatsu. Best is "on the pot", which is like a katsudon with the rice aside. A bit overpriced.

Best pork chop ever! Must try black hair pork! Miso soup got small clam inside, so delicious!

Crispy and tender at the same time, their tonkatsu is delicious! And it is a very relaxing place as well :)
