We went for the a trail ablaze gastronomy menu and it was simply amazing! Every central asia dish's origin was explained to us by the chef with a slight local twist in flavour. We were totally blown away by each course as the combined spices, seasonings in every dish were really delicious. My favourite in particular was the slow cooked beef cheek and the Nomad nan with hunter gathers butter. Nomads SG is a definite must try for every food connoisseur. Located in the crack of a wall along Telok Ayer street, I have walked pass a number of times & would not have known of it if it wasn't for some research. The only detail lacking for the night was a larger selection of alcoholic drinks as a few of us were really looking to order a glass of whiskey or sake to go with the dishes. Overall, it's a thumbs up to Nomads SG, loved the food (would return without any doubts),the high seating where we could see the food put together and the service. Side note on the design of the restaurant: The wall between the bar foyer & the dining area conceals the kitchen activities and gives the impression the restaurant closed. If that wall is broken down, the activities within the kitchen will probably attract a new pool of customers walking by to try out the place. :)

Very balanced flavours, beautiful presentation and all in all, a very memorable 17 course meal!! Certainly was a lot to go through and we were pretty close to bursting by the end but every extra bite was pretty worth it! The beef dishes, filo pastry dishes and pulov stole the show for me. The aged beef with the pulov risotto were complex and delicious while the filo pastry was light as air. Drinks were pretty good too! I had a 'peat' cocktail (recommended to go well with the red meat dishes..and it did!) While my partner had an ale which was also pretty delicious. All in all, worth the - you could tell everything was prepared with thought and care. Foodies- put this one on your list!

Overall a very novel and interesting dining experience and likely a new cuisine to most in Singapore. The items tend to be saltier and oiler so be prepared for a good bud heavy meal. A gripe is that most of the staff do not properly wear their masks while preparing food and explaining what the dishes are to us, which disturbed us during the dining experience. Another thing, though less of an issue, is that they frequently offer additional items chargeable at extra cost without informing us, such as water, coffee and tea etc. Just thought it would be nicer if they mentioned it at least. Overall, good effort in the thought and preparation of all dishes!

Love the rustic feel of food presentation and a great omakase layout to introduce each dish as central Asian food is a relatively new cuisine to Singapore. Decor and display are authentic brought over from Kazakhstan. Couldn't recommend a better place to try out central Asian food.

One of the best discoveries of food in Singapore. Presented Central Asia with lots of fusion making food. Combination of all spices in Asia with ingredients of western made a memorable meals. Small restaurant with limited seats with only counter seat to see the action of the crews of young and energetic chef. You would put at the small bar outside while waiting for all guest presence to be seated inside. Unique food with creativity of using spices in Asia.. lamb, beef and lots of special spices made special flavour. The homemade bread with butter is out of the world and made me full half way thru. Rare gem and young enthusiast crew made the vibe so uniquely. Enjoy the food and rather too much for the 148 Omakase meal but worth a visit. The risotto a little disappointing as it is rather bland but overall is great experience! Would come back again..!

Innovative fusion journey through Central Asian Silk Road with also some Russian vibes. 17 course Odyssey of Fire journey was wonderfully presented by young, talented team of chefs and it was also lovely to get food accompanied by interesting cocktails. Squid was bit too smoky to my taste but I loved especially fruity, fresh Salat and rich Hunter's Plov and rosy Medovik. All portions were interesting and even mostly small in size, this meal was also very filling.

We were a bit disappointed in the beginning while waiting for our seat at the bar area. We don't mind the waiting but the vibe and the peoples at the bar were so loud, kind of confused is it the place we booked. However, our experience completely changed after we finally sit down in the dinning area. Totally different vibe, watching chefs prepare our food in the open kitchen and explained how they sourced the ingredients and came up with the idea of each dish. The food was amazing! We have been many fine dinning restaurants in Singapore, this place won our attention and definitely will come visit again. Not only the price is extremely good vaule, less than 200 with 17 courses!! The ingredients they used are top notched and unique, the chef is very talented able to create interesting delicious dishes which we never had before. Highly recommended but also kind of wanna keep this place in secret.
