Goodness, we were so excited to come back to what we thought might be the old Tex Mex, but were extremely disappointed. We were very polite because we felt sorry that the place was so empty - should have realised why! 1) Ordered a “you beaut” cocktail which should have knocked my socks off, yet no alcoholic reaction at all! Too sweet, as well. 2) We were asked so many times if my husband would like another beer, that eventually I asked the waitress (owner’s daughter?) to take the glass away and told them he didn’t want another beer, thank you. 3) We both wanted seafood, but neither of the Del Mar dishes we ordered were available, which was a shame, as I am a pescatarian. Those dishes were the reason we were going back to Tex Mex. 3) The small side salad served with the main was not very Mexican influenced, really. Quite plain (sliced carrot, celery, lettuce, maybe onion?) 4) Speaking of onions, there were so many LARGE chunks of onion in my burrito, that I gave up and stopped eating my main dish. OTT. (White onions are best for Mexican food BTW) 5) Lastly, after refusing dessert (but being made to feel guilty when we declined), we were asked if we wanted to leave a tip. That’s just not on. We have never been asked to leave a tip at any other restaurant, but we usually tip, because that’s what you do, of course. (We did leave a tip though). But here’s our tip to you - don’t ask! 6) In all honesty, I don’t believe the new management understand the atmosphere of a Mexican fiesta created by great drinks & authentic Mexican food served by relaxed serving staff having fun. If that happens, you might miraculously find that your customers will order lots more of everything, without being asked!

The Beef Nachos were better than home cooked. The fajitas were tasty with juicy tender strips of meat. Cocktails were huge but lacked the taste of tequila which for me is why I drink them. A bit overpriced for what it is. Would we go back? Yep for the Nachos and probably only if invited as part of a group or party.
I rated this restaurant 5 months ago when the old owners were running it, however I went there today (didn't know that were under new management)a they pretty much ruined my night. The owner argued with us a few times during the night. The food seems to have decreased in quantity and increased in price. The owner constantly looks angry and has terrible customer service. I definitely won't go there again.
Disappointed!!! What a shame you have such a good food but impolite staff. We used to eat here, and actually left a 5 start review as I loved the food and how the nice waitress used to take orders. But booked the restaurant to celebrate our friends birthday tonight and the waitress was not friendly at all, food was good as always but she told us that they close at 9, 15 minutes to 9! We didn't have enough time for cake and had to leave the restaurant.

Changed owners... gone down hill. Overpriced and terrible in my opinion. Owners/staff rude. Dont bother. Not mexican food, no nice words to describe what type of "food" (if you can call it that) this is
We were excited to celebrate my partner birthday there but were extremely disappointed. 1- first of all the waitress that I assume is owner’s daughter was rude and way far from a nice and friendly staff! 2-I ordered a lime cocktail, honestly no alcohol at all and too sweet. 3- atmosphere in the restaurant was stressful and the waitress was micromanaging every single thing. 4- At 8:45 she told us aggressively that their place will be closed in 15 mins (although their website shows on weekdays they are open till 10pm) ! We were in middle of our dinner and she gave us 15 mins notice to finish our meal and have the cake and leave the place which was impossible! We decided to take the cake home as she was aggressive and not easy to talk. Overall: poor customer service, argumentative and repulsive staff. We were all disappointed and not recommending this place at all. I don’t believe this business could survive any longer!
If I could give this negative stars I would. Tex Mex is now under new management. I am not a Karen and not one to leave bad reviews, but with this one I need to. We had the WORST experience here with my husband and friends. The new management are HORRIBLE, treated us like dirt. The prices have gone up, portions are small, and they wouldn’t even allow me to share my nachos with my sister when I wanted to. Please guys DO NOT support this business. I’m all about encouraging people, but this is one place I am asking you to please not go to. They also spoke horribly to their staff. I will never be going back again, as I refuse to support a business who treat their staff and paying customers like DIRT. Please share with any friends who plan on going there. Anyone who has had a negative experience I encourage you to also please leave an honest review.
