Kenny's Tour Day n Nigh', I took a family to a Kofun, a grave tumulus in Gunma pref. today. It is so informative and interesting that I wouldn't open it to public and would like to keep this place in mind as Kenny's Best Kept Secret No.19. As you, however, clicked here I couldn't stop telling the secret to you! It's Hachimandsuka Kofun, a mounded tomb of the typical \Keyhole\ shape being created sometime in the middle/end of 5c. During some 1,500 yrs history although many of some 5,000 existing tumuluses in Japan had been ruined the Hachimandsuka Kofun buried under the volcanic ashes of Mt. Haruna has been protected and maintained well underneath the ashes. Now the archaeologists have restored nearly as equal distribution as original structure they found in the ruin, which you can see with the presentation in the museum next to the restored tumulus. You'll also see many types of Haniwa, clay images, at the tumulus such as King and Queen as well as hunters, soldiers or guardians, farmers and animals kind. When I saw them in a good order with King and Queen in the centre of the clay images I thought this might be the original model of modern chess game. Can it be possible? Kenny

Vale a pena conhecer, recomendo!!!
