Synagogue in Żółkiew was partially sponsored by Jan III Sobieski and designed by the royal architect Piotr Beber. It was constructed between 1692 and 1700.

It is possible to visit inside and is surrounded by sheet metal. Not much to see.
This is one of the oldest and beautiful synagogues in Ukraine. This village was full with thousands of hasidic jewish people, and avery thing was gone within the holocaust of 1935. The synagogue was burned up the next day the nazi hitler YM\S entered zolkov together with all the prayers. HY\D. roseyitz.
Very old building which is unfortunately non-functional at this time. However, you can feel the spirit of the ages just passing it by.
A place with great history, but in very bad shape today.
