Appenzeller Schaukäserei Reviews | Rating 4.4 out of 5 stars (8 reviews)

Appenzeller Schaukäserei is located in Stein, Switzerland on Dorf 711. Appenzeller Schaukäserei is rated 4.4 out of 5 in the category cheese shop in Switzerland.

Brunch was nice. Whilst brunch the Musics were traditional and were suitable with atmosphere. The price for the brunch is too nice. Coffees are nice. Cheeses are already nice. The museum is not worth to visit. It does not meet the expectations. For this museum should be the entrance price maximum 2 Franks. The prices in the shop are a little bit expensive but it is acceptable.

This is very well made, and the visit includes a sampler of the different cheeses - and explanations as to how they differ. The information throughout is available in multiple languages. Well worth the visit, especially if you get a ticket combined with the museum next door!

Love this place. You pay an entrance fee but you get a small box of cheeses to taste. Resto had a delish cheese tart, which I loved!!! And the playground is a kid's heaven.

Awesome place, the cream cheese soup or the best! It's very nice that they have a playground outside where kids can play until the food is served. To few tables otherwise (half the restaurant was closed when we visited, we had to wait half an hour for a table)...

Can see how to make cheese.

It's a rip-off, 25 grams of cheese and some herbs for the whole round-trip. Restaurant is also expensive and not good. Looking inside to the factory is good tough.

A very interesting demonstration of modern cheese making. The gift shop has a wide selection of cheeses. I bought a couple of cheese knives that are the sharpest I’ve ever found.
