We stayed at Driftwood Loft, 6 St Andrews Street last summer and it was the worst holiday house we have ever stayed in. The house was filthy, despite a late check in time to make it 'Covid-clean'. Dirty surfaces, greasy pots, poo on the toilet seat, hair in the bath, but the worst thing was the smell of sewage in the hallway. It took days to get a response on the phone from the company, eventually pest control came out and tried to mask the smell with a spray that affected my mums asthma. Over a week before the manager came who promised to refund us for the nights we didn't stay if we left as they had nowhere else to put us... but of course we had to chase and fight for that too. No goodwill and not so much as an apology from the owner. Would definitely not reccommend the company, and certainly not the property.

I booked a 15 Wesley Place with St Ives Holiday/Cornish Horizons (part of Original Cottages group) back in July. The level of cleaning was an absolute disgrace, mould in the fridge and microwave, green mould on the cutlery, chopping board, open drain in the rear yard, broken freezer.....I could go on and on. A health and safety disaster. Access was delayed to \minimise your risk of exposure to Covid 19\. No cleaning had been done. A letter of compliant has been submitted, it is now middle of September and all I have received is an automated response. They have no customer service and simply don't care. Absolute disgrace of an organisation. Do not book through this organisation or its subsidiaries.
Edit: I’ve just seen your response. The evidence is in the photo, you liar. St Ives Holidays are, with full knowledge, allowing people from Tier 4 to come and stay in their properties, and are breaking the law in doing so. Ensuring that people in our town have a drastically increased chance of actually getting ill and spreading a dangerous pandemic even more, and breaking the law, all for a few more quid. Absolutely shameless.
A COMPANY WHO ALLOWS THE TRANSMISSION OF COVID 19 AND ENCOURAGED PEOPLE TO COME FROM LOCKDOWN AREAS AND ASK THAT THEY BE DESCRETE ABOUT THE STAY, SHOULD NOT HAVE A LICENCE , MONEY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIVES
I recently stayed at Number 4 Whiterock. Accommodation was dirty with broken furniture, ripped beds, very poor cleanliness and a lack of attention for basic details. Overall a disappointing experience and still awaiting a response from the company. Definitely avoid Number 4 Whiterock!
