My Grandfather William Thomas Perry Jr. was an aeroplane mechanic who worked in North American in World War 2. Received his certificate in Oklahoma right before he moved to California with wife in 1942. He was in the Merchant Marines for approximately for three weeks then his supervisor found out that he had an certificate in aeroplane mechanic training school. They told him that he was needed at North American in 1942 because he had skills and experience as a mechanic and completed his vocational training in that field and because of his training my Grandfather was abled to transfer to enter into North American.
