Good for kids
I'm very impressed with the Russian cross meat boar. Taste great. Maybe even better than from the store. Butch and company treat you like family. I very much enjoyed the trip. Great weekend get away. Great food and lodging. Have many opportunities to try the boar. Felt right at home. Filled the freezer. I'm going back. Perfect for a first timer. The guide won't let you make a mistake.

Just got back from a fantastic weekend at the preserve. I can not speak highly enough to hospitality we received. The food was amazing. Butch runs an honest business with great family values. I brought my nephew and my son down to have a weekend of hog hunting. The guide was wonderful and worked hand in hand with my 9 year old to get him on a giant boar. After which I was able to take one with my bow and then my high school aged nephew bagged one shortly after. It was a great time. I am certain this was an adventure the boys will not soon forget. We will most certainly be back. These folks are a cut above.
My husband, daughter and I enjoyed our time at this preserve. From start to finish it was perfect. Butch and Paulette were gracious hosts, the lodging was very comfortable, the food was delicious and my husband had a great time on his boar hunt. His guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. While on the hunt he approached a boar approximately 40 yards away, and, with adrenaline rushing, forgot to look through his peep sight and hit the boars front leg. He was able to take a second shot and take the boar down successfully. All around, it was an excellent experience, and we look forward to going back. We highly recommend this preserve.
The hunting was great, and the boar meat was delicious!..The wild Boar produced several hams...I sliced into strips trimmed fat...I got the best beef jerkey in about 12 hours..! M looking forward to barbeque Boar ribs...
Had fun on the hunt! My guide was amazing! She wasn’t feeling well but still hunted her little heart out! And she made sure I got the proper shot too. Would go back if she would be my guide again!
