We had an appointment for 1:30 for neutering. Arrived 15 minutes early. Turns out they filed for us to get an exam instead for some reason and by 1:55 they STILL had not called us. We asked and they said they’d check where we are on the waitlist. What’s the point of making an appointment if we’ll still have to wait way past our time. Decided to cancel and leave. Terrible.

I found South Bay Veterinary Hospital because of an emergency with my Dalmatian and bladder stones. Unfortunately they are prone to this condition so I have had to take him in twice for surgery. This time he saw Dr Lila Batiari. She is amazing ! Her skills as a Veterinarian as well as a surgeon are amazing. My little Jax has healed quickly and with little discomfort. They don't overcharge for their services either. Dr Batiari gets an A from me and Jax. I am going to switch Veterinarian offices because I am so impressed. Thank you to Dr Batiari, Dr Deo , and all of your staff for saving my little boys life ...twice !

They used to be great. Now they don’t honor appointments and schedule several animals for the same time so you can expect to wait in the dirt parking lot for at least a 45 minutes and you’ll be really lucky if they answer the phone in the afternoon because you can’t leave a message on their full mailbox. I’m taking my hound elsewhere

They’re generally cool peeps here. But on 2/6 I came to buy flea medication at 730pm. They close at 8p according to the website and I believe the person named Gabby who told me about the pricing of medication. I pull up and there are two employees at the counter, the door is locked. They proceed to stare ignore me as I try to get their attention. Highly unprofessional behavior, you could’ve taken a moment to communicate the fact that your listed business hours are incorrect. Absolutely infuriating.

My dog received wonderful, above and beyond care at South Bay Vet. He had to have emergency surgery and I was frantic calling all the vets/hospitals in San Diego and finally South Bay Vet took him in. I was greeted by both the nurse and doctor and they made me feel so reassured and that my dog was in the best hands. They had great communication by calling, texting, and even sending me pictures of my pup from when he was with them overnight because I was so worried. Dr. Deo was able to do his surgery right away. They did an amazing least intrusive job on his surgery (foreign object removal) and he was up and wanting to run around the next day! Also, their prices are amazing I couldn't believe I only paid a fraction of what I've paid for his surgery before. Thank you so so much to Dr. Deo, Ardel, and the team at South Bay Vet for saving my Ziggy and making sure I felt safe and comfortable too!
