Horrible company! They show up 2 1/2 hours late. When they get here they were all gung ho and after about an hour and a half of working they disappear. They came back three hours later and said they had to go pick up material. One of them was drunk. I had to lend them my jackhammer because they don’t appear to have much in the way of tools. If I didn’t the corner post would’ve been sitting about 4 inches in the ground on top of my foundation. Not one post in my yard is the same height because someone doesn’t know how to measure. My fence looks like a roller coaster. My back gate rather than center the pole they just added a second one which in my opinion doesn’t look right. The corner post on the other side of the house was in the ground about 4 inches on top of my foundation. Also they installed the fence 2 feet onto my neighbors yard. I called the owners and spoke to her, actually it’s her and her husband‘s business. She told me Her husband come out and have a look. He shows up rather than knock on my door he asked the UPS guy if I was home. Really! So I called him up and ask him if he just here and he said yes I didn’t think you was home. So he comes back out a few days later and I show him things I want fixed. They fix the uneven gates but the corner post on the other side of the house they replaced it with an offset post and now my fence is loose. I called them up and left a message asking if they could come out and stretch the fence. I haven’t heard anything from the owners wife or the owner. Now I have to hire another fence company to come out and repair of the things they wouldn’t. I will then file a complaint with the ROC and take him to court. I do not recommend this fence company to anyone. I wish I would’ve looked at the reviews prior to hiring them. They have 2 1/2 stars for a reason.They also raise the price on my fence by 1000 and blamed it on COVID-19

Smelcer Fence Contractors did a fantastic job putting up a cattle fence and a farm gate on my 8 acres. They started on time and finished ahead of schedule. I will be enjoying it for years to come. I highly recommend Smelcer.

Three years ago they installed a new fence, that experience was great! Today, however, not even close. I called to get an estimate on repair due to neighbor’s lawn care service damaging the fence. Initially the person I spoke with was willing to provide some paperwork with repair cost due to the fact I am seeking compensation from the person who caused the damage. Eventually the call deteriorated because there was some kind of confusion on her end about property ownership. She finally said we don’t due fence repair and hung up. Sad.

BUYER BEWARE: Smelcer does not repair fences (even if they installed them and said they'd guarantee them for life) and other companies don't work on fences they didn't install.

New wood gate was installed. Within a couple months, it was horribly warped/twisted and looks terrible. They are non-responsive and refuse to come out to fix it. I'll use a different company in future.
