I am not the type to drop reviews , however I couldn’t wait to share our recent experience at this restaurant in the heart of downtown Silverspring. Straight to the point I will say the service was outstanding , the servers were attentive although a little busy they did cater to our every need to effortlessly with this smile .... And now onto the fooood! I really don’t know where to start! We had Guragee Kitfu which is similar to a Steak or lamb tartare mildly cookedor slightly raw with lots of home made Kebbee!!.. It was the closest to heaven one could think of literally... The juices were just so succulent, the butter was oh my! The cottage cheese paired well with the kotchoo. And to close it all the veggie combination was a rainbow of sensations on our pallets.. To be forewarned the potions are pretty huge .... The Ethiopian honey wine was semi sweet and paired well with the kitfu... That said Lucy Ethiopian restaurants is amongst the list of a thousand restaurants to visit b4 u kick the bucket

One of the best Ethiopian places in greater DC area. The flavors are spot on and the portion size is generous. There are plenty of options for vegetations as well. It gets pretty crowded on weekend evenings. There are live music performers and coffee ceremony on Sunday evenings. The staff are very welcoming. Lunch time gets a bit slow and food takes a while to be prepared.

Peddy woman here, We asked another waitress for beer and other current waitress we usually have started mean mugging etc then I asked for 2 split peas and brought out one then the women kept woman walking pass not saying nothing to us . And not to mention the Ethiopian brawd asked for my id when it come to me getting a beer she seen me 4times come to Lucy's restaurant??.jealous brawds everywhere you go then our 4times we been here before the brawd was cool with us.. have it your way . Then walking pass our table but its cool. Peddy! BETESB I LOVE & ONLY ETHIOPIAN SPOT I'LL B ROCKING WITH

Tipsy Therapy

Served RAW Doro Wat. Ate & shared (same household) hard boiled egg, which was part of the dish. Ate slice of chewy leg, & shared slice as well. Cut into rest of leg & found out why it was chewy. It was RAW. Paid bill (minus dish but then what operator would charge you for loosing your appetite?) Hours later, it begins. YAY! Nausea, body aches, & lots of loo time. Informed restaurant management. Response: \ What would you like (me) to do?\ Followed up next day & was told to never call them again or call police. If you want to lose weight &:purge your gut, GO RIGHT NOW!!!

The Better one in the road with service & cleanse food is okay. The place looks like they have a live music in the night but I was here in the evening and they was playing soft music which is not live.
