This place is still in business. They scammed me over 20 years ago. I paid about 600 bucks back then too. Just remember people, real modeling companies will scout you out and not the other way. Save your money for college or a votech school because these people won't take you far.

they were really sweet but they asked me to pay a couple grand on the spot and said now or ever.
I loved my experience here. I can't believe so many people think it's scam because it costs a lot and it's not guaranteed. Apparently, that means college is a scam too. There are SO MANY people who succeeded in modeling and acting that came from this company. There may not be top models, but there are very few actual top models in the business anyway. Anyone who has made money after their time at Barbizon in acting or modeling (mostly print, which is more available to people anyway) is a success story. You can make tons of money doing print modeling, you don't need to be walking the cat walk to succeed in the business. I see so many butt-hurt people who can't accept that they simply didn't make it in the business and that's not the companies fault. As for the comment of quality of the makeup kits, you must have been rough with it if it fell apart. I had mine for ages and it was still in great condition. Also, if you're rude to people, of course they will be rude back. No one wants someone with a nasty attitude around anyway. Yes, it's expensive. So is college. Yes, you might never make it in the business. Just like you might end up paying tens of thousands for a useless degree and make more money working and doing something completely unrelated to your degree. If Barbizon is a scam, so is college. If you don't agree, than you need to think about what this company is actually offering and stop expecting to be America's Next Top Model, because it's HIGHLY unlikely, considering how many people are in the USA, that it'll be you. Take it up with statistics. I will continue to recommend Barbizon to people. I had a great time, met great people, walked a cat walk, shook hands with industry professionals, got a standing ovation for my monologue, and learned that I have what it takes to do whatever I want. As our motivational speaker for the 2004 IPAC Star convention said, \Is your fire lit?\ Yes Sir, my fire is lit. And I owe it to Barbizon.
Absolute waste of money, bad communication, they promised at the end of program students will be in audition and different companies will watch them. That’s a big lie, there’s only one person that come and gives you all 1 hour lecture to convince you to pay more money to get trained for a showcase to meet with agents. Huge disappointment.
They totally took my money at a young age. They will scam you for all you have . Stay away save your money.
