Schaumburg is beautiful, mostly because of its location and the surrounding areas. However, the government overtaxes its residents, at times adding 1000/year in property tax just to keep the village going. This money obviously goes to paying village salaries and benefits. Too bad we residents have to pay. Also, the water billing department is a stubborn department, applying late fees even if you miss your payment by a day or two. This shows no compassion for the residents, as it seems they just like to tax and tax us residents, while they sit in their cushy jobs and reap the monetary benefits.
