Schaefer’s in Chesapeake City, MD – Nice porch seating facing the Chesapeake River that is enclosed with heaters for outdoors seating. Great atmosphere and social distancing was not an issue. Great presentation of each dish made to order. The food was excellent and very satisfying. The waitress sort of forgotten about us since we were at the far corners table, but the view made up for it as we looked out under the Chesapeake City Bridge. The bathrooms were clean and saw that they cleaned all tables and surfaces on a regular basis.

My siblings enjoyed the appetizers but said they could have been better if they were hot. My brother and older sister did not like there food at all. My younger sister had the tuna and she loved it. I had the fried shrimp and they were over cooked. The atmosphere was great and our serve was amazing. She was pleasant and fun.
This review is only about service. Tonight was a train wreck! We had reservations for 5:30p. We got to the restaurant about 5:15p and let them know we were there; we were told that our table wasn’t ready yet, and that we would be seated at 5:30p. No problem, as we were there early. 5:30p comes and goes, 5:40p comes and goes. 5:45p, I go up to the stand and look at the check in list. There are 20 names in front of our name that have been checked in that were waiting for their reserved tables. During the 30 minutes we were there, only two (!!) parties had been seated. So much for reservations ... we walked out ...
Great location and views. Service was great... attentive but not overbearing. We really enjoyed brunch. Very reasonable prices. Covid compliant.
Amazing meal tonight and awesome service. Highly recommend! Favorites were the ahi tuna appetizer, grouper with mango salsa, and baked rockfish over shrimp and grits cakes. The oyster shooters are the best I've had as well. Beautiful fall night evening on the water and an astonishing meal. Parking was at a premium, just had to walk a little. Social distancing wasn't an issue inside as the place is huge with indoor and outdoor seating. (We sat outside) Can't wait to come back. Raises the bar too high for other area waterfront restaurants.
