Kalye Grill

The main reason I ate here was to prove to Google Maps folk that the original place, “Stop & Eat” was gone and replaced with the “Kalye Grill”. The very first thing I noticed when I stopped here, was that they were giving away skewers of grilled meat, thus advertising in the best way that they are a grill restaurant first and foremost. The second thing was an array of masks for purchase, showing how seriously they take the pandemic, but more on that later. I was very impressed with the way the entire place is set out. The owners take the COVID rules very seriously. Not only are the tables spaced in such a way that it separates the customers, thus following safety guidelines, but they even have a selection of masks out the front and a pricelist within their little takeaway menu, at the back. Clever. As I was not prepared for actually dining here; I was without my wife, (i.e. she carries our money), I ate a simple meal, which was enjoyable nonetheless. I had just a couple of vegetables dishes, but they were very tasty and from what I saw being delivered to other tables, the chef here is good. Not only was my meal delicious, but cost even less than I had estimated, as the nice lady informed me that the published price actually included some meat, which I had indicated I didn't want, thus the lower price I paid. I have to say that the Kalye Grill, which has replaced Stop & Eat, is a welcome addition to LBA1 and I wish them every success, as I want to eat there from time to time.
