The terminal has convenient access to public transportation. However, it does not have any convenient parking for cruise goers. Long term parking for cruise goers is either close by and very expensive, or requires a shuttle or bus service. Lift, Uber and other ride share services are available to/from this location. As a facility, it is rather run down, and has only basic amenities. But, downtown and other attractions are only a few minute walk away. This pier should not be considered a destination, but a transition point. So don't expect much, other that basic functions to get you into the ship. And please, don't forget your passport! (Sorry, Californians - your Real ID drivers license is not proof of your nationality, and does not qualify as a passport.)

Living in San Diego and being able to sail right out of the city I love was awesome. So convenient and easy. Our friends dropped us off right in front of the terminal and picked us up there as well. The best part was the views. We’ve sailed out of many ports around the world but very few have such beautiful views of the city and harbor.
It cost too much to get on that boat and you better have two homes but in the meantime I stay close to Mother Earth with no complaint
Nice place to stroll. Cleanliness is a challenge. Ample selection of places to snack. Parking is horrendous.
Great and beautiful San Diego, super convenient Cruise Terminal right in the downtown area of San Diego, nice and easy, friendly staff, easy walking distance to pretty much everything. Thank you San Diego! I love this town.
