Nothing left there, except the imagination from the history of the Battle of Okinawa. On the top of the hill, a Marine unit has already occupied the area.

All of Kinser and the surrounding area is a battle site and sacred land(s). There is an old saying that there is a life sacrificed for every sq ft that makes up Camp Kinser. It was utilized and an airfield by the Japanese during the war hence the long road between the warehouses (that was the airstrip). Just outside of the back gate, where the river is, was some seriously intense fighting [Item Pocket] that lead to more intense fighting as the American forces inches their way into the outer ring(s) of the Shuri Defenses.

Literally live right by it in the towers and never knew that was a battle site. I thought it was a shrine. Awesome google!

I've been working on Kinser for 12 years and never knew there was a battle site 5 minutes from where I work...
