I DO NOT RECCOMEND GOING HERE PLEASE READ ON AS WELL AS OWNERS RESPONSE. Went here as open on a Sunday. Price was reasonable for tyres. Wheel alignment price went up 11 from what was quoted over the phone because “hub caps needed to be removed” I said that was ok as still reasonably priced. Unfortunately Wheels were put back on with a rattle gun and way too tight in my opinion I came home and to loosen the wheel nuts and correctly tension them as it is my wife’s car one wheel stud snapped as soon as I touched it. I loosened and correctly tensioned them all. Was away for a week and a half but took car back to Ryan’s tyres when I got back. Gave him the opportunity to apologise but it was all my fault he never over tightened anything etc etc. he said if they were all over tight why didn’t they all break. I was lucky that it was only one.The wheel was even stuck to the hub after all wheel nuts were removed that’s how tight they were. 400 job to repair the stud. I will be going to fair trading to make a complaint. Yes I should of taken the car back to Ryan’s shop as he stated but it was closed and I needed the nuts to be right before I went away. Yes it broke whilst I was trying to loosen them but only because it was not correctly fitted in the first place. They all moaned and groaned whilst being undone that in itself indicated over tension. EDIT: There were no threats made and no demand for money. I just want the damaged stud sorted will be going to Fair Trading when time permits and it will be sorted one way or another. I took car back after 2 weeks because we left Monday morning 6AM for a road trip took it back ASAP after we got back.
