We were fortunate to obtain limited passes to tour the lower 3 levels that go back to the Great Fire of 64 AD. Viewed an God Statue that protected Rome's Treasury. We drank from the water troughs that perhaps the Emperors did same a couple thousand years ago. Coming up to next level brings one closer to the Middle Ages and conversion to Christianity. One the best archaeological tours I've ever been on. Simply fascinating.

Nice place. Very calm. There is no visitors now. Few hours only open now.
My visit to St. Clement Basilica was inspirational in so many different ways. From the outside I didn't know what to make of it, but once I entered I was genuinely humbled
The Church named after the third Supreme Pontiff who took over the Seat of Petrine Office.
Hidden gem. 3 layers of history, one on top of the other.. Very interesting place, and a quiet outside space to rest weary legs for 5 minutes
