It is not a so popular church in Rome but inside you will find many treasures . One of them is the Mose' statue of Michelangelo .

Really am incredible Basilica. Enormous, with amazing sculptures and art. Admission is free, and the long line was faster than I expected. It does cost a bit too go up in the dome. I didn't do that due to time constraints. Ignore the people trying to sell you tours outside. Most (all?) of them are lying about savings and alternatives.

A must visit place in Rome where one can spend a quite and intimate couple of hours. Striking sculpture by Michelangelo. Remarkable wall painting in the nave. Marvelous inlay of St. Sebastian and many other wall pieces. Watching the 2 video tour is highly recommended.

This is a beautiful basilica that I found completely by accident whilst exploring the city, and a fantastic surprise it turned out to be. Walking through the doors my breath was taken away with the fantastic architecture and the atmosphere within its walls. It is worth noting at this point, that the basilica is an operational catholic church and there is no fee to enter. Mass is held every sunday, and whilst there was no strict dress code at the time of my visit, it is respectful to cover your shoulders and knees. The inside of the basilica is dominated by Michelangelo's statue of Moses, which is the mausoleum of Pope Julius the II. The simple and scarce decoration inside only amplifies the sheer size of the piece and the craftsmanship involved. This is a hidden gem in a beautiful city, that I would advise anyone to seek out and visit.

Saint Peter’s Basilica was fantastic! I didn’t realize how big it is was until I went inside. It was quite remarkable to see all the fine detail and effort it took to build this wonderful masterpiece. I am not a religious man but I sure can appreciate and take in the magnificence of this beautiful place. It was also neat to see how many people this place affects and all the faith it brings to people. Definitely try to visit this place. Also my wife and I purchased the Omnia/Roma Pass which helped us skip the huge line and we got in within 10-15 minutes. If you have any questions just ask and I’ll help you at!
