Beautiful place to stay and explore the incredible mountains. The climbing is also very good here. The town has a wonderful old charm and the people all very friendly. I’d recommend coming in early October when it’s still very warm but less hot and there are fewer tourists.

Small typical houses. Non-asphalt roads. Restaurant with local food. Canyon nearby with activities. Trekking path to PuenCabras.

This small town right in the heart of Sierra de Guara, is a spot that should not be missed. The curvy drive is completely worth it if you like rural areas, nature and mountain activities. Great views, one of the best places to practice rock climbing, trekking and practice canyoning in the area from apprentices to more advance users. Do not miss the beautiful church (it is hard to miss actually) and the refuge (Kalandraka) at the end of the town, great place to socialise with fellow mountaineers, grab a beer and a vegetarian lasagna. There also rural accommodations, a camping and a small hotel at the entrance of the town and a couple of bars restaurants. WiFi is widely available in these public places. Also, if coming in the busy season, available parking may not be available as cars cannot go into the center and be advised you must park outside the town (less than 5 minute walk). Unsure if you can reach this town with public transportation, so it is something you must check on the transport website of Aragon Region or Huesca province.

Ambiente joven
