Took my cat in for an emergency and they told me he had water in his lungs. Then they started to try and rip me off by sending me a bill that ranges between 1800 and 3000 and they told me that they cannot give me an exact price range because they don’t know how much treatment he needs. No explanations on test results whatsoever they said he needed to be hospitalized he needed to be on an oxygen tube otherwise he would not survive. Its a 1 year old cat.....???! Told them that I will take them to another vet. Then the doctor decided to call me because everybody else that I talk to before was nurses only. Doctor told me if I pick him up and take him away he might die. Scared the hell out of me and they were so worried about him but when I went to pick him up the discharge took 45 minutes even though they knew that I had an appointment with another vet that covers my insurance. Basically all they care about is money and they rip people off in their moments of need. I will never ever come back to this place.

We went in for emergency care for a foster Samoyed at 7.5 weeks old with a broken leg. Dr. Young splinted the leg so well that this sweet baby may not even need surgery as per the orthopedic specialist we went to. She was even willing to continue care (in the ED) if needed as appointments are scarce for the holidays. We are very pleased with the care and consideration from Dr. Young and staff.

My cat went in on an emergency basis with loose stool and blood in her urine. Scheduled with Dr. Morris to operate for bladder stones. She did an excellent job. The cat has healed nicely. The cat normally comes home from the vet just really upset and angry. After the last couple of visits to Rocky Gorge, she's come home very peacefully and tranquil. The care at Rocky Gorge shows!

Been going here for years for wellness visits, immunizations, etc. When things are normal they are ok. However, when you actually need a vet for something not normal they say they dont appointments for the entire month and go to their ER. Their ER absolutely insists that you wait in your car until the doc talks to you. The wait time is always 3-4 just for the doc to see the pet (they do a quick triage before the doc sees them and leave them inside, but they still say you have to stay in the parking lot). The doc is only going to call your phone but yet they still want you to wait. When asked why they said say policy. PET ER in Columbia has essentially the same wait time except when they take the pet in for triage they say you can leave and they will go you back. Again, this place is acceptable for routine stuff but except to go somewhere else if you need/want a vet appointment quickly

Our dog Marvin had a bit of a... skirmish with a raccoon yesterday evening. We noticed he had some scratches on his nose and also wanted to get him a rabies booster, so after we met with animal control, we took Marvin to the ER at Rocky Gorge. Pursuant to COVID protocols, the wonderful staff picked him up from our car and checked him in right away. The vet was super friendly, thorough and reassuring, and Marvin was treated excellently! He got a 3-year rabies booster, antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine, and is doing great. Their price was also extremely reasonable. We hope Marvin avoids similar encounters with raccoons in the future, but if he doesn't, we would not send Marvin anywhere else!

I wish I could give them 10 stars. We have come twice in the past 6months with different cats and every experience has been excellent. First time: Our 19 years old cat was receiving laser treatment for a wound on his leg that was not healing. The bandage done during a visit started to slip and the wound was being rubbed and irritated. We were told by the vet supervising the treatment that it was an emergency if the wound was exposed or irritated by it. We came to this ER after a horrible experience in another one, and we were so lucky that this whole experience here was fantastic. The technician understood the nature of the emergency, the doctor was able to re wrap the wound fast and we were delighted that the poor cat was not suffering for hours waiting for it. We would like to thank them for an outstanding service and for caring so much for our old boy. We highly recommend them !! Second time: our recently adopted rescue kitty had a hernia repaired at the same time she was spayed by the ASPC of Anne Arundel County. A day later, we noticed a lump on top of her spay incision, not knowing if it was normal or not (with Covid I couldn’t see the incision nor the hernia in person with the vet at the time I picked her up from the shelter) so we rushed her to this ER where compassionate, knowledgeable and time efficient team triaged her upon arrival. They assured us it was normal for a healing hernia to feel and look like that. We were so relieved and again we want to commend them for their skills and more than anything for their patient care !!! Thank you guys we recommend you all over again!!!

My dog had hard bumps on his neck. I called my vet, plus many referrals they gave me and none could get him in until October. Found Rocky Gorge on Google and called. They told me to call back the next day at 7:30 am to try and get a same day/non emergency visit. I called the next day and was able to get in the same day. When I arrived, I was early and texted for curbside pickup. The wait was not long at all, despite the parking lot being packed. They came to my car, asked questions and then took him inside for an exam. Diagnosed him with a skin infection and prescribed antibiotics for 10 days. The vet (Meegan Weiller) was very nice and even trimmed my dog's nails for free without me asking(saved me a trip to the groomer.) 3 days later, the lumps are smaller and he is getting better. I am considering changing my vet because of the great experience. Price was not as high as I imagined as well. Would definitely recommend this place. Only thing I was hesitant about was that I cpuldn't go in with my dog, as he has separation anxiety, but he did well. Tha ks Rocky Gorge from Speedy.

My baby girl, brownie, had abdominal surgery 2 weeks ago and suddenly took a turn for the worse during the night time. Her primary vet was closed so I searched everywhere for a vet that was open 24/7, the ones I called were rude and unhelpful, but then I was referred to rocky gorge animal hospital, not only was Kasey extremely pleasant on the phone, speaking in such a calming tone, but the other employee Emily, were so kind and genuine when they spoke to me, they picked up on how stressed I was about my baby girl and responded perfectly. Dr Falk was just as amazing, she sounded so kind and caring when she called me. She gave me options on what to do for my pup and tried to find the best option for me that wouldn’t hurt me financially. The staff at this establishment is extremely incredible and a true blessing to having during emergencies like this. I am forever grateful to you all.
