Thought this posted awhile ago. Great flavorful food and good value. Hidden gem for sure. It is a little out of the way but well worth the trip. The sauce was great brought some home. The atmosphere of a local favorite. Will visit again when we are in the area. They were expanding and wish them the best.

The BBQ was great. They smoked basically the whole meal (brisket, mac & cheese, and baked beans) the brisket was really tender and moist. Mac & cheese was pretty cheesey and done perfectly. Baked beans arent my favorite in general, but they were good! The BBQ sauces are very tasty, my favorite was the regular barbecue
This is the best day of my life. Psycho chicken sammich w/ apple bbq. My mouth is in a pleasant fire. I dunno if the side baked beans was worth 3, but it's delicious AF too. Will visit again. Counter help also pleasant AF, would do small talk again.
This place is the absolute best BBQ in Richmond. I have a soft spot for hole in the wall places and Smohk defines and sets the precedent for amazing hole in the wall food. The apple wood smoked sauce is incredible and tops a tender and flavorful pulled pork sandwich better than anything I've ever had. This place should be a landmark for BBQ lovers.
Really awesome barbecue chicken smoked Mac and cheese, and cole slaw. We had the XXX and Apple barbecue sauce which were really good. Perfect to eat lunch here while drinking at Strangeways
