I just rented a car with them today. I have to give the customer experience to be 5 stars. I had to shorten my rental by a week due to covid restrictions. The agent was able to modify my reservation and provide me a voucher because I had prepaid my reservation online. They exceeded my expectations. I definitely will be back.

The worst service in the world. Becarefull, They have gave me dirty, gross, disgusting car at night time after I have landed with family..The next day in day light surprised me. During the Covid-19 after used this car I and my family fell in sick. Even later after multiple time call and we physically went there to replace my car after 1 week because I have rented for 14 days. Our hotel was about 50 km away from the car rental. It was horrible and nightmare
Customer’s service inexistant - the employee was all but helpful, not friendly, and always found excuse not to do anything. Funny she couldn’t even cancel my reservation - even funnier I called Hertz customer service hotline and they did it in less than a minute without penalty. Avoid ans go to the competitors... seriously!
I returned the car here and the staff were pretty easygoing about it. I'm not sure why some people have really bad experience but the guy checking was professional and pretty lax about it. Fuel ok, odometer check. That was pretty much it along with some quick glances. Even some of the things I spotted before weren't brought up.
0 stars for customer service. My sister in-law left her garage door opener in her rental. We were told it would be waiting for us when we got to the YVR Hertz desk. The person behind the desk said her manager was gone to the doctor and would be back in 2 hours. We explained that the manager would have left it out with a note we were coming from Surrey to pick it up. We were told RUDELY that it was not there and we would have to wait. Finally after 40 minutes the afternoon shift came in. They talked about us and were laughing and the day shift left. When we asked the afternoon shift person if they had contacted the manager, again in a rude manner , we were told she didn’t know anything about our situation. Then she walked in the back and came out with the opener with a note on it from the manager instructing that we would be in today to pick this up. We drove from Surrey and back and spent 45 minutes waiting at the desk. We were treated very rudely. I would not recommend Hertz for car rental to anyone.
