Everytime I go there the owners seem uninterested and usually don't bat an eye toward me except for one time. My band mates and I (all mid to late 20's) were in quite a while ago when our drummer was buying a Cajun drum. While he ran to the bank the rest of us decided to slip into the acoustic room and play around a bit. We weren't being obnoxious or disrespectful in anyway. Over the course of the 20 minites we were there the owner left his station multiple times to peer into the room giving us the feeling he didn't trust us too much. Practically the second after one of our members started playing a more upbeat heavier riff the owner rushed in and snarkly exclaimed that he can't play it that hard unless he buys it. Given other reviews this seems to be a common trend. It's a shame that he would rather "protect" his product instead of promote a passion for music. Other than this experience I'd say the selection is decent though customer service could be better.

My son was in last week with his father to buy a ukulele. He asked for help and was ignored, so he tried putting a ukulele back up on a rack himself. The owner Ray swore at him not once, but twice because he felt that my son placed it too hard on the rack. He was with his father and was in the store trying to buy an instrument. There is never a reason to speak to a customer this way especially when you ignore them because you figure a teenager isn't worth your energy. I'm sure Music Box was glad to get the business (and future business) instead. Will never shop here again and will make sure all of my friends know how he was treated as well.
