Well curated museum. It gets less attention due to the famous Srirangam temple, but it's worth a visit.

The museum is well-maintained and the entry fee is very nominal. There is a play area outside which the kids would enjoy. Most of the items in the museum is with photos and the items used in pre British era railways. Could cover the entire museum in 30 mins.

Very informative Museum . Must Visit if you are interested in Indian Railways. You can see the Iconic Images of Indian Railways from the British Era. All the Items used in Railways are displayed there. There is park outside for the children to play . It's walkable distance from the Thiruchurapally Railway Station. Definitely Must Visit this Place .

Railway Museum in Trichy is a good evening get away to relax and spend some time. It boasts of a toy train. There is a huge collection of items pertaining to Indian Railways that date back to as early as 1890. Worth a visit. Entry Fee : Rs 10. Closing Time : 7:00 pm

I really wish it was more interactive. The one plus is there is a nice 5 minute train ride. The train chugs along around the museum.
