A lovely little castle by the sea. You can pay to go inside, but I preferred the outside. You can walk around the entire fort and get some nice pics.

Matushinios is a very beautiful place with a nice boardwalk and beach
At entering we were quickly welcomed by a host that explained the entrance fee is 50 (euro) cents. Pretty cheap for a well maintained fort and weapons exhibition. Plenty of photo ops around the canons and view at the Atlantic. Worth all of my 50 cents!
This was a surprise visit for us. We saw the fort from a distance and decided to check it out. We were glad we did. Entrance fee is 0.50. The fort is well maintained and offers plenty of photo ops of the Atlantic and beaches. There is a small museum and cafe down below.
a historical place to visit while in porto, easy access from the beach, no fees for entrance, a fortress at a strategic point , observing two beaches, got up and enjoyed the cool breeze and the view, inside theere is a special forces club, check it out
Entrance is only 0.50. The view is great and that's about it. You're probably in and out in 20 minutes.
Nice place to rest and take some beautiful pictures. Very easy to get there by public transportation.
Cosy place to take a timeout for a while ️
