I'm going to disagree with Google Map's use of the word "majestic" to describe this...brick building. Yeah, it's a little neat architecturally, but I'm not going to climax over it.

THIS ARCH WAS THE ENTRANCE TO OVER 200 BUILDINGS A HOME FOR RETIRED SOLDIERS FROM THE UK.BUILT IN 1863,ITS AT THE TOP OF ST GEORGES TERRACE,YOU CAN SEE IT ON YOUR WAY TO FRASERS RESTAURANT KINGS PARK, AND THE BOTANIC GARDENS AD TREE WALK WHAT A DAY OUT,THE ARCH IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED,AND A REMINDER OF PAST YEARS
Some great history but not much is told about its history
Terrific opportunity to see inside the arch and see the view. Thanks to the volunteers who made it possible.
Excellent historical landmark. It is well kept and maintained. Good place to bring tourists to the CBD.
A nice place to chill out at.
Nothing fancy. Other sites around perth are better for viewing
Piece of historic architecture by the road. Can be reached by the Green CAT and is a short walk from the bus stop. There's also a statue at the crossing near the arch.
