We were there for October Half Term and while the weather was typically Cumbrian we needed a great cottage to recover. Wythburn Cottage was just what we needed and with everything to cater to a teenager family and in particular the billiards table. All of the bedrooms were en-suite and the cottage was a luxury compared to home. If you want to spend time in Northern Lakes then this is hard to beat.

We spent another amazing weekend at The Rowley Estate. A fantastic place to go for a self catering stay as the kitchen is very well stocked and pristine . King sized bed which was very comfortable had 3 great nights sleep as it was very quiet. We had 7 children with us who loved the freedom of the castle and the grounds after the confines of living in an inner city. We would definitely recommend a break here and hope to return in the future.

My family and I had a truly wonderful holiday at Wythburn. There was plenty of space for all of us to relax and enjoy the 10 days we stayed. The beds were incredibly comfy and the master bedroom was a real peaceful sanctuary at the end of the day. The added bonus of the dining table converting to a billiard table kept us all happy on one day when the weather kept us indoors (as well as the very cosy lounge and TV). We also hired a hot tub during our stay and spent many an evening having a BBQ followed by a warm soak in illuminated bubbles.
