We went to Cazenovia Hall for Christmas. I can't tell you how helpful how Christine was in the unprecedented circumstances. We were still able to visit and felt completely safe whilst there for our 5 days stay. The welcome hamper was absolutely amazing as was the beautiful Christmas tree. We had everything needed for our stay so much so, that we're already planning another visit, which will be our third stay! I can't recommend The Rowley Estates enough, it's just like home from home! I can't wait to return. Many thanks Christine and your team.

BE AWARE - MISLEADING INFO ON WEBSITES We had a very disappointing stay here. Basically if the website for the property hadn't been horribly misleading we would never have booked this place. Its not safe for toddlers - some really dangerous features that are not in the photos or the access statement for the house. The stay was so stressful for us we had to leave after 3 nights. Be aware there is a concrete table attached to the house not shown in any of the photo's. Our toddler fell within cms of hitting his head on it. It's also not really suitable for dogs - depending on your dog breed maybe but the grounds to the garden are open (only bushes and plants around the edge no fence) to the path which leads directly to the road. A B road but the only route to Greystoke village and the speed limit is approx 50mph. Theres rabbits everywhere so if your dog likes to chase it's pretty scary. Also if your dog isn't keen on gunfire don't come to stay here. We tried to let Christine know our concerns in the hope she would take it seriously before either a small child or dog gets injured here but she just refused to accept the issues and passed us over to her lawyers.

I honestly want to warn people before booking this place if you are planning to go with either small children or dogs - or like us both. The outside area is highly unsafe for children between ages 1-4 years. There is a high drop from the grass in the garden onto concrete. Deep concrete steps outside one of the doors leading to the garden. A stone table like structure outside that is not shown clearly in any of the photo's and which our 22 month old almost hit his head on which would have been horrific. This was what finally decided us to leave the property after 3 of our 6 nights stay as it was just too unsafe staying there. Also for dogs - if your dog dislikes gunshots / fireworks then don't book here. The surrounding farms have special machines in the fields letting off gunshots to scare the birds from the crops every night at various intervals. Our elderly dog was terrified. There are rabbits everywhere and your dog can chase them straight out of the \garden\ and onto the main B road (still 50mph) that runs seconds from the property. The only border to the gardens is bushes or it's straight open to the road which is literally seconds away for a dog thats running. You can't let your dog off the lead if you want them to be safe. We complained as we felt like we had been misled and mis-sold this property as it's truly not suitable for very young kids or dogs. Sadly Christine was not interested in the slightest. Please take this review seriously. Personally I wonder at the validity of the review where someone allegedly stayed with 3 toddlers and a dog ....... and all the reviews from people with no profile picture and their only review being of Cazenovia Hall posted directly after negative reviews were left.

Cazenovia Hall was a great location to explore the Lakes. We enjoyed our time - all correspondence/ set up was clear & professional - property spotless, spacious and well equipped for our group (3 couples - 3 toddlers and 1 dog). Will certainly recommend to others staying in the Lake District. Christine & the team were fantastic from point of booking to exit.
