Little know and worth several visits. Unfamiliar as the eastern art might seem to an uneducated eye, everything is superbly beautiful here. And when you buy a ticket, you are offered a second free visit in the next two weeks. So, keep your ticket!

Every year we are in Paris this Museum Of Asian Art is an absolute must to visit and spend about three hours in slow movement throughout the various exhibits.. this time the exhibit of great interest for us was the Exhibition -Buddha, the golden legend... presented was a historical description of Buddha’s life and influences on the world.
PLEASE RETURN ALL ANCIENT KHMER STATUES AND ARTIFACTS TO ITS ORIGINAL SITES. THESE ITEMS WERE STOLEN FROM CAMBODIA DURING FRENCH COLONIAL ERA. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
This museum has one of the best collections of asiatic art in the \western\ world. The quality and comprehensiveness of the plastic arts is astounding. I was particularly impressed by the Shang bronzes and the Ghandaran statues. The terracotta figures of the Han and Tang Dynasties were fabulous, as well as the Han temples and funerary figures depicting everyday life. Finally, in every room you can find literature that explains very well the historical and cultural context of the arctifacts.
Many unique and interesting pieces, however the whole museum has a very cold vibe. I prefer the one in San Francisco.
The Musée national des arts asiatiques Guimet, simply as a museum of Asiatic arts this is a must see attraction. However it also houses what appears to be one of the greatest collections of Buddhist art and artifacts in the world. A breathtaking array of exhibits from the last 2000 years. The museum is currently running an exhibition recounting the story of the Buddha which can only be described as 'world class'. Easy to reach by public transport, you'll find a stylish restaurant and well stocked shop on site.
Very impressive collections from all over Asia capture the Imagination and deserve a visit any time you're visiting Paris.
The best collection of Cambodian art outside of Cambodia. It’s nice to get away from the crowds. Good Nepalese works.
