My daughter really enjoyed her time with OKUKAN, and thought that Sensei Sandra "was really nice". We are sad to be taking a break, it's purely due to too many after school activities and clashes. I hope for us to be back next term. As a dad I am especially keen to see my daughter return to Sensei Sandra as she seemed to strike a great balance between kids having fun learning but also getting enough discipline, structure and serious environment to build confidence and resilience. Thank you

My daughter joined Sensei Sandra since 4 years ago when my daughter was only 4 years old. Sensei Sandra is an excellent teacher and she is very good with kids of all ages. Sensei Sandra is also gentle and passionate in her teachings and her classes has the right balance of fun, discipline and focus. Meg, the Admin/Coordinator is excellent with the communication as well. Highly recommended!

Sensei Sandra is a very passionate Martial Art teacher. My son really enjoyed the class. She teaches kids not only Karate but also caring, responsibility and respect and so on. We could not recommend OKUKAN Karate and Sensei Sandra enough!

My son joined Sensei Sandra's dojo a year ago - a slightly distracted 6 year old. Sensei Sandra showed great patience, perseverance and care to guide him through his White belt kata - and getting to Yellow was very special! Okukan is a respectful and safe space for children to learn karate - it really is an art form. Meg's support from the admin side is also terrific - nothing is ever difficult. Highly recommended by our family.

Thank you for all the amazing work you do with the students through Okukan. Our son has benefited so much from the classes and Sensei Sandra's balance between firm but gentle guidance and tuition. The classes have helped our son with focus, concentration, perseverance, listening and eye contact - just to name a few! It's also really great for his general health, well being and fitness. The grading process helps children work toward and achieve a goal. The excited and proud look on the student's faces when they receive a new belt is so delightful to watch!
