I had lunch at "Off The Hook" on Saturday 9/6/14. First, the service was lousy the cook and the server stood behind the counter and talked. I watched as my calamari came straight from the freezer in a bag. Now mind you they advertise "fresh seafood" but really "Off The Hook" really means Off The Hook and into the freezer! The floor under the drink machine was dirty, worn and was unsuccessfully hidden by a commercial carpet. I will never return and felt like warning all those that were coming in for lunch. The calamari had ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE!

Great food! The shrimp tacos were amazing. The rest of my group had the fish and chips and really enjoyed them.

This is my favorite seafood restaurant, and the owners are terrific. The fish and chips are amazing, the best I have ever had.

I had the Ono sandwich there, and it was absolutely Superb. I first enjoyed this fish in Hawaaii,,and have prepared this treat at home when available...It was not only as good as I have ever experienced, but the portion was generous as well...

I have eaten at off the Hook since it opened and enjoyed everything I had until today!! The coconut shrimp was awful. The shrimp were small instead of the nice large ones and they were tough. The cold slaw didn't have the flavor it used to have. I was very disappointed

It takes a lot to gross me out! But kudos Off the Hook (nastiness) you have! First, the bathroom...no. Major yuck factor. I should have left then and my gut said to. I ordered the seafood combo plate and while the shrimp was good, the fish was funky. I was reluctant to taste because it smelled 'off.' Being from Florida, and heck, any seafood lover knows what I mean. I wasn't sure, didnt want to be a pain, but when I tasted it, I immediately spit it out in my napkin. I brought them the plate and they all passed around my food sniffing it...like 5 people! (I still had food on my plate ! I had intended for them to replace the fish.) Then she actually takes a bite of my fish right off my plate. That was an "Hasta luego" to my dinner. I was in shock. She offered to refund me for the fish... After she totally ruined my plate. The guy was trying to hand me back my plate to eat my food...wow! Yikes! Look, at that point, I left. They can keep my wasted money, but they've lost my business. I am utterly speechless! Run! All I can say is: RUN FOR THE HILLS! LOL Seriously, ewwww. I was going to go to a place I LOVE: the Fish Market restaurant in Del Mar. Instead, I settled. I suggest you not make the same stupid mistake!
