This is the best place to go for a walk, to get fit or do something as a family. Well worth a visit if you like nature or history. There are trails for all types and toilets as well

Was my local woodland until recently. The walk from Bestwood Lodge Drive, through to The Winding House, and around Mill Lakes, is my favourite walk to do. Well looked after woodland, the grounds around the hotel are good for picnics in summer.

This is one of the best parks in Nottinghamshire. It has the only working steam winding house in the country, but it also has great trails with beautiful views from the hill tops. Also, if you have children there is a nice adventure park with a clean WC. Finally, the children will enjoy the horses and sheep. Fantastic place!!!

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, fantastic interesting old building full of character and charm. Good service and fairly cheap. Nice food. Nice bar and haunted too !!

There are many ways to access this park but I have not yet found them all. Depending which access is used can give very different vistas. These photos were taken at Mill Lakes. The paths are generally wide and there ramps that allow access to the park for wheelchair users or families with pushchairs etc. Just be aware of cyclists as they share the same paths and not all have bells.
