BEWARE. I test drove a vehicle, and while test driving the check engine light came on. I said we needed to figure this out before I buy. I had signed paperwork, stating “Yeah, maybe we could get this rate”... etc, etc. I told them before I get my credit ran, I need to know what that check engine light is all about. They said they’d go run the engine code and get back to me in a couple minutes what the code was. I agreed. While they were “checking the code”, they were really just checking my credit score. After I told them I didn’t want my credit ran yet, as I had not made a decision. Shame on me for trusting them.

I purchased a used vehicle from them a few months ago and it broke down on the way back home. I got it towed back to them and they spent an entire month trying to fix it. After they returned it to me the engine began smoking very badly a couple days later. Since then, I’ve been bringing it to a local mechanic in my area at least once a month to get different issues sorted out. Highly recommend staying away from Northfield Automotive. If you’ve had a positive experience with this dealership, you are very lucky. Edit: Also worth noting, do not give them any sort of attitude. You WILL regret it. Especially their service manager Joe.
