These guys are awesome. I was shopping for climbing gear everywhere online and they had the best prices for everything besides rope. Great customer service, they are very patient running back to grab stuff for me, make sure they greet every customer, etc. Great customer service. If you buy in store instead of online you get 20% off of full price items too. Definitely will keep giving them my business, especially now since REI is dropping their morals pretty low it seems. Rope bag, 4 webbing, chalk, a dozen quickdraws, 9 carabiners, and a personal anchor system for about 230.

My experience with CampSaver was one of the worst I've ever had. I found a good price with them for a Garmin watch, due to a 20% off coupon. I ordered the watch as a gift. They cancelled the order without telling me so I contact them and they apologized and helped me place the order again. It needed to go to a temporary address for someone and there was a time limit and since the first order was cancelled, I was worried about it making it. They nicely agreed to send it by a faster shipping method free of charge. I began to track it a few days later only to find it was not sent faster, but by USPS and was scheduled to arrive a day too late. I had to make calls to CampSaver, calls to the USPS for several days. It miraculously arrived just in time except they did not send the 400 watch, but a compass. Now they refuse to even credit me for the watch until I print out a label, make a trip to a UPS store, box up the compass and send it back, their word, "We are kindly sending you a prepaid label for your convenience." My convenience would be for them to have immediately resent the watch and arranged for UPS to collect this compass. Numerous calls got no where and emails are unanswered. I cannot tell you the hours of my time that this "gift order" has taken up. I had even taken out an insurance policy on it and then had to go and cancel that. Sorry, but this just isn't right.

I ordered an item and received an email message the following day that it had shipped. A week later I received a second email message asking me to rate my experience. I never received the item or a follow-up message informing me of its status. I tried calling the toll-free telephone number to find out what its status was, but there was only a recorded message stating that phone calls were not being accepted because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I do not understand how not answering phone calls protects anyone's health. Other online outdoor equipment retailers I have purchased from recently are answering their telephones.

So last year I searched the web for a specific bike trailer for our little Nut. I came across this website, finding their price on my desired bike trailer to be cheaper, though shipping almost equalled the same amount as others places that had free shipping. Then it dawned on me..... I pass this place almost everyday!!! I now wondered if I could possibly walk into show room/store and pay for it there without the shipping cost. The next day I wandered in nervously, only to have that feeling dissipate with the kind greeting I was given from the guy at the front desk. I began to tell him of my wanting for this bike trailer and that I had seen it on their website. Without any hesitation he bolted back to their warehouse to see if they had it in stock. Moments later he came back with a large box and a big grin. As excitement took over, he told me that because I found this on their website and came in to pick up he would be giving me an extra 20% off of price I found online (of course with no shipping fee)!!!! I may have leaped for joy and cheered in pure happiness over all of this good news! After purchasing this bike trailer I realized there was no way I could fit the large box in our mid-sized car.... I then asked if it would be alright to unbox, take out each piece and put into car, and leave box behind. This guy was so kind to me, he helped unbox the bike trailer, and helped me load it into my front seat without any hassle. Seriously my experience here was far better than most I've had at other sporting good stores. Thank you so much for all you did for me that day, I very much appreciate your kindness. Our bike trailer has for sure been one of the greatest purchases we have gotten for our little guy. Much love for Camp Saver!!

Visited their storefront location near Logan - won't make that mistake again. The guy seemed put out that I wanted to try on climbing shoes and was less than helpful. Customer service is clearly not a priority for CampSaver. I was planning to support a local business but that's not happening now.

Never order from here. It is a scam and the website is fraud. I ordered something online and they sent me an email asking for me to send my credit card number “manually” via email after it was already processed through my credit card company. They attached a phone number to call and when I call nobody answers. When I called the 877 number listed online it says that due to Covid nobody is available. No business should be operated this way. I had to cancel my credit card. Nobody has responded to any of my emails. Save yourself the hassle. Garbage company.
