I don't want anyone to know who I am

Receptionist seems nice but my family and I have been waiting nearly 6 months for you to call us so that we can finally start booking appointments and nothing happened we gave you all the paperwork way before lockdown so I don't think this should be able to happen. you probably don't have the paperwork anymore init?don't worry we'll go to westerhope medical centre then

After making a appointment and waiting to see a Dr in a understandably very busy surgery, I was advised to have a blood test. The first appointment I was offered was another two week wait, no problem, my problem was more of a irritation than a life changing problem so a wait for me is not the end of the world. However on the day of my appointment because of all extra strain on the NHS and medical staff I phoned and confirmed my appointment should go ahead and was advised that routine pre-booked appointments are still going ahead as long I was showing no symptoms. So I turned up at the appointed time and took a seat in the now sparse waiting room (some chairs removed and spaced out)and waited my turn. After waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time I was still prepared to sit and wait until I was called, as there was only myself and an elderly lady waiting it wouldn’t be long, until a lady leaving her appointment tried to book a blood test. As the receptionist tried to explain the next available appointment was two weeks away the “Lady” went off on one, telling the receptionist how angry she was and how she had waited two weeks to see a Dr she was now expected to wait another two weeks, at this point she was asked to take a seat and the receptionist would see what she could do. Even though it was way past my appointment time who do you think went in next? Well it wasn’t me, I was the last person sitting in the waiting room as this other lady was called in. The receptionist then tried to tell me it was a medical emergency! I don’t think she even realised in a empty waiting room I was privy to the full conversation between her and the lady. My advice, if you want something done quickly, get friendly with the receptionist it appears to be the only way!

Took over three months to transfer my details from my previous doctors. Every time I order a repeat prescription I'm promised two days but it actually takes over a week and I usually run out of my medication because they prescribe the wrong amount.
